The ELCT has a full time Secretary General who is responsible for all administrative tasks of the Church at the Head Office level. He is the chief accounting officer(CEO) of the church. Some of the roles of the Secretary General Are : Supervise all Heads of Departments and Independent Units,
communicate with all institutions and organs in the Church on policies and decisions as the case may be, supervise the implementations of policies and decisions of the General Assembly, Executive Council and Executive committee, Maintains contacts with all stakeholders of the Church (internal and external) with a view of keeping them aware and/or follow up the developments of the Church
